Eccentric
Art was established in 1997 by Norman C. Slade of Fayetteville,
North Carolina. After 24 years of service in the United
States Air Force, he has seen the arts and style of many
different countries throughout his world travels. Many of
the techniques and style he has seen is applied to his own
unique concepts of framing and matting.

Norman
has always held a special place in his heart for African
American art, which eventually led him to create a business
and relationship with the art community and African American
art world. Norm believes through art one can express a feeling,
a mood, a passion or a thought. It can also tell us who
we are, where we have been and where we are going. Art can
educate the young and old, broaden our horizons, teach,
document our history, and offer a guide for the future.
Norman
has taken the art of framing and matting
to another level. He keeps a keen eye on what's new in the
world of art and how to make it unique as well as keep it
affordable for his customers. His work is displayed in the
North Carolina Governors mansion through a piece he was
commissioned to do for the governor of North Carolina.
